Instruction for Score Update & Preference Submission

10th and 12th Score Update

The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in 10th and 12th standard would be calculated based on the Board’s regulation. If there is no such regulation regarding aggregate marks from the concerned board, then the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the grade sheet should be considered for calculating the passing percentage.

Note:

The candidate should be aware of the fact that the minimum passing requirement is different from the passing percentage. If the respective board does not provide the passing percentage, it has to be calculated as below:

  • If the board does provide the passing percentage or the total obtained marks, in that case, the same percentage can be used (or can be calculated by dividing the total obtained marks by the full marks and multiplying by 100).
  • If the board does not provide the passing percentage or the total marks, in that case, percentage will be calculated by adding up all the subjects for which the marks are available on the marksheet.
  • If the board does provide the overall passing CGPA, in that case, the same may be converted to the equivalent percentage using the board conversion formula. If the board does not provide the conversion formula, divide the obtained CGPA by the full GP and multiply by 100.
If it turns out to be that the candidate has used the wrong formula/method to inflate the passing percentage, his/her admission may be cancelled.
If it turns out to be that the board do not provide the passing percentage, the passing total marks, or the passing CGPA and the candidate has selected only the best four/five subjects to calculate the percentage and to inflate the marks, his/her admission may be cancelled.
